what you can see in the winter is the water content of your breath

the air we breath in is quite dry but when it is inside your lungs it gets wet

when you breath out the air has more water in it that before

in the winter the inside of your body is warm compared to the cold outside

so….the water in the warm air being breathed out meets the dry cold air outside and the water turns to water vapour that you can see 🙂

We can see our breath in the winter, because the air in our breath is warmer than the outside air. When you exhale (breathe out), your breath also contains moisture. Because your mouth and lungs are moist, each breath you exhale, it contains a little bit of water in the form of water vapor (the gas form of water). This forms a cloud!
