• Question: Do you like being a scientist and why?

      Yes. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to be able to work in a field that I am passionate about.

      Yes! I particularly enjoy learning new things, which still happens a great deal now even though I do not personally do research any more. Instead of directly finding things out myself I help scientists all over the country do their work, which means I get to hear what they are all up to. Very different view from my own lab.

      Also, as part of my work now, I must learn about what everyone is doing, as much as I can anyhow. I really do love that aspect of my work.

      Yes, definitely! I love being a scientist. Sometimes it’s hard but many a times it’s so rewarding because you discover something new. It makes you think and question things and it’s a good learning for life 🙂

      Yes, absolutely! I love being a scientist 🙂 Every day is different and I’m always learning new things, meeting very interesting people and travelling all over the world!

      yes I do enjoy it

      finding new stuff out is exciting …I like to learn but I enjoy doing experiments more than just reading facts in books.
