I’ve met several scientists who are famous in my field of research – these are people who have made particularly important discoveries in the science area that I work in, but you wouldn’t expect to see them on TV or anything like that!
I’ve also met lots of famous anatomists – in fact, Prof Sue Black, who has been on TV and radio a lot examined my PhD so I was very lucky to meet her in person!
Probably the most famous one I have “met” was one of my lecturers at university, Professor Andrea Sella, who is often found doing public speaking and interviewed on TV.
He was a great lecturer too, I can see why he does a lot of public engagement and science communication.
