Why an interesting question…I will do my best to answer it for you!
You’re absolutely right that most sport does have to do with science from the most obvious way of it being to do with biology, anatomy and exercise BUT have you ever thought about what other sciences are important for sports?
What about swimming or sailing? How do people stay afloat? That’s physics and a property called buoyancy.
Why about football? How does the ball travel? How do footballers aim for the goal? Physics again – this time moving object and something called trajectories which means predicting where an object will end up depending on speed, angle of force, friction, gravity etc !
In fact, the more i keep thinking about it, the more I think that physics is super important for sport, because of all the complicated motion involved.
What do you think? Can you think of others ways science is important for sport?
